Department of Family and Youth Kharkiv regional state administration, the Gender Resource Center and Kharkiv women's organization «Krona» announce a 1-and regional photo «the lens - gender equality», on the 60 anniversary of the Declaration on Human Rights.

Applicants are invited photographers, journalists, student, youth, teachers and all zatsikavlenyi citizens who informed on the current state of gender policy in Ukraine and the world.
The goal of the competition - coverage by photography theme of equal rights and opportunities for women and men in society.
To participate in the author must submit photographs of the electronic media with the accompanying name and comment to her, and the authors provide details about themselves and contacts. To participate in the competition allowed all the photographic genres, the number of works from one person is not limited. Do not allow work to promote violence, religious and ethnic enmity, including political advertising.
The Organizing Committee of the competition receives applications and photographs by 30 April 2008. In the last decade of May will be organized presentation with a wide coverage in the media field and awarding the winners.
Photo contest winners will receive:
- Diplomas;
- Prizes;
- The opportunity to participate in a summer retreat training school with gender for journalists (July, Asia).
In the future, photographs will be presented to the mobile permanent exhibitions, the best work (with reference to the author) will be posted on the sites of organizations that are engaged in civic education and other Internet information resources.
Photoworks of the winners will be presented at an international conference on gender journalism, to be held in Tbilisi (Georgia).
