In the competition of small grants can take public (private) organization and independent research institutions from Ukraine, which had declared the project contribute to the active involvement of civil society actors from the East and West in the process of development of democracy in the country and to approach Yevropeysokho Union .

Projects have to touch one or more topics, which are listed below:
- Human rights, democratic freedoms (such as freedom of expression);
- Equal rights of men and women;
- Environmental protection, rational use of energy.

The supported projects that in the above-mentioned thematic groups meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Take into account the actual events and / or processes of European integration;
- Tematyzuyut complex issues of Western and Eastern Ukraine (similarities, differences and conflict points) in the process of democratic transformation of the country;
- Cooperation initiatives with the regions Ukaryiny different.

The types of projects:
One-financed activities: for example, conferences, seminars, workshops, training, publications and other innovative forms of political education.

The Grant:
The maximum amount of financial assistance in the implementation of the project is 4,000 euros.

Project duration:
- Familiarize yourself with all the projects implemented in the period from 1 chervinya 2008 to November 1st, 2008
- Final financial and descriptive reports must be sent in German or English to 15 Nov, 2008 to the Office of the name Heinrich Bollya in Kiev.

Terms support projects:
- Applications for funding are accepted from the public (private) organizations and independent research institutions from Ukraine, which are legal entities;
- In the framework of small grants mozhye not be supported by the activities of individuals, private enterprises and government agencies;
- Supported projects are implemented in Ukraine and meet the needs of its citizens;
- Participated in the competition may take several organizations that work in different subject areas and who want to jointly implement a particular project. This request for funding submit only one of these organizations;
- An organization may submit only one application in the framework of small grants;
- Own shares of the project and co-financing from third parties is undesirable, but possible;
- Funds can not be used to purchase equipment, with the exception of equipment needed for the project. Planned acquisition should be more justified in the application.
- Organizations that now receive financial support from the fund Heinrich Bollya can not participate in the contest.

- Along with the paper version you must also submit a complete set of documents in electronic form at small.grants.ua @ boell.pl. We consider only those applications that are in paper form and complete the form received by March 31, 2008 to the Mission Foundation in Kiev.

Term sending applications:
- Paper applications must be sent by mail (or personally handed over) to the Representation of the name Heinrich Bollya in Kiev (Kyiv 01004, st. Antonovich, 36, office 1). Applications have to come to the Mission Foundation in Kiev, not later than 17 hours of 31 March 2008.

Selection procedure:
- The selection is made Election Commission.
- Decision Election Commission is the final and not subject to appeal.
- Results of selection will be announced on May 15, 2008.

Features of the grants:
- Terms of the grant is the participation of representatives of organizations in financial training, which is organized and funded by the name of Heinrich Bollya, as well as the conclusion of a treaty on cooperation between the organization and representatives of the name Heinrich Bollya in Kiev.
- The first tranche of funding (75% allocated amount) will be listed applicant after signing the agreement on cooperation.
- The second tranche of funding (25% allocated amount) will be listed after confirmation zavnykom provided financial and meaningful report.
