Academy for Peace and Development is looking in cooperation with Slovak-Georgian Society for participants for a training course on Volunteering and active participation.
The training will be implemented from the 29th of March 2009 until the 5th of April 2009 in Georgia.
Project Description Training Course “Active Participation and Volunteering”

PROJECT SUMMARY:
The project “Active Participation and Volunteering in the Caucasus” will be a six day training course (TC) with 12 partner organisations (24 participants) from EECA (Georgia,Armenia, Azerbiajan) and programme countries. The TC will take place in Georgia.
The aim of the project is to promote active youth participation and European Voluntary Service in Caucasus. Therefore, the training will focus on improving sending and hosting organisations in how to use the EVS programme and for which challenges they have to be prepared cooperating in a common volunteering project.
Elements of the training are the following: Youth in Action Programme, EVS, cultural diversity, preparation and hosting of EVS volunteer, cultural and social particularities of EECA countries, good partnership, conflict management on personal level.
OBJECTIVES:
• To promote volunteering in the Caucasus
• Prepare sending and hosting organisations for the challenges they face while cooperating with EECA
• Share knowledge about the implementation of a EVS project
• Create new partnerships for EVS and to work on a common multilateral EVS project
• To promote the implementation of youth projects in Eastern Europe and Caucasus

CONDITIONS:
As this training course will be implemented in the frame of the EU Youth in Action Programme, the accommodation and food supply for all participants will be covered totally. In addition, 70 % of the travel expenses will be reimbursed to the participants.
